In 2014, I submitted 4 paintings to the prestigious RBC Canadian Painting competition, depicting The Royal Bank of Canada’s mascot, Arbie, burning down a Royal Bank after his job was outsourced to India. Needless to say, I didn’t win the competition, but RBC did terminate their mascot, and permanently ended the banal art competition shortly after. Mission Accomplished. Listen to the CBC’s As It Happens national radio broadcast about it here.
